Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par Title Track Out Now: A Joyful Musical Tribute To Triumph And Teamwork

The makers of Sitaare Zameen Par — the much-awaited spiritual sequel to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par — have unveiled the film’s title track, and it’s already striking a chord with fans for its blend of joy, emotion, and inclusivity.

Composed by the renowned musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the heart-touching title track is performed by Siddharth Mahadevan, Shankar Mahadevan, and Divya Kumar, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song showcases Aamir Khan leading a basketball team of intellectually disabled individuals, highlighting their journey toward self-belief and excellence.

The visuals show the underdog team scoring basket after basket, overcoming prejudices, and finding unity under the mentorship of Khan’s character.

Also featured in the song is actress Genelia Deshmukh, who shares a warm and slightly romantic dynamic with Aamir’s character, adding emotional depth and lightness to the narrative.

Story & Trailer Insight

Directed by Prasanna, the film revolves around a court-assigned punishment where Aamir Khan, in the role of a coach caught in a drink-and-drive incident, must train a team of intellectually disabled players for a national basketball tournament.

The trailer, which was released last month, offered a glimpse into the funny, emotional, and inspiring world of the film — packed with Aamir’s signature humour and heart. One notable moment involves Aamir trying to explain the importance of wearing a jersey to one of the team members, blending comedy with compassion.

Release Date

Produced under Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par is set to release in theatres on June 20, 2025. The film is expected to be both a feel-good family entertainer and a socially impactful drama, addressing the challenges and potential of intellectually disabled individuals through sports and empathy.

The title track is now streaming on Zee Music Company’s platforms and is receiving praise for its uplifting tone and inclusive message.
