Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 1: Music maestro A.R. Rahman is set to embark on his highly anticipated Wonderment tour, with the first concert scheduled for May 3 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The Mumbai premiere will serve as the first stop on a worldwide tour that aims to mesmerize audiences across the globe. According to a press note, Wonderment will be a unique blend of tradition and innovation, offering a musical journey that bridges the past and the future.
Rahman expressed his excitement about the tour, stating, “With Wonderment, our aim is to convey that every note, every rhythm, tells a story. I hope to merge tradition with innovation, bringing together the past and the future in a celebration of music. Mumbai’s energy and spirit are unmatched, and it’s a joy to bring this unique musical experience to the heart of the city.”
Tickets for the event will be available on District from April 3, exactly a month before the concert.
Rahman has been making waves in the music industry, recently joining global pop star Ed Sheeran on stage in Chennai during Sheeran’s Mathematics tour in February. Additionally, he is set to compose music for Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, a spiritual sequel to the hit film Raanjhanaa, directed by Anand L. Rai.
Meanwhile, Rahman was in the headlines recently due to health concerns. In March, he was briefly admitted to Apollo Hospital after experiencing symptoms of dehydration but was discharged soon after.
