The 2025 edition of the Asia Cup is set to begin on September 9, bringing together eight of the continent’s best teams for a thrilling T20I tournament. Hosted across two venues in the United Arab Emirates—the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi—this year’s tournament will serve as a critical preparation ground for the T20 World Cup in 2026.
Suryakumar Yadav‘s top-ranked Indian team enters the tournament as a strong favorite. However, they can’t afford to underestimate rivals like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, all of whom possess match-winning talent. The hosts, UAE, will also be looking to make a strong statement in front of their home crowd.
