Realme is all set to expand its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16 5G on April 2. The device will join the existing Realme 16 series, which already includes the Realme 16 Pro+ and Realme 16 Pro.
Having debuted in select global markets earlier this year, the Realme 16 5G is expected to focus on long battery life, strong everyday performance, and a unique design element dubbed the “selfie mirror.”

As per recent leaks, the Realme 16 5G is likely to be positioned in the premium mid-range segment in India.

- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹36,999 (expected)
If these prices hold, the device will compete with several upper mid-range 5G smartphones in the Indian market.
Unique ‘Selfie Mirror’ And Camera Setup
One of the standout features of the Realme 16 5G is its “selfie mirror,” integrated within the rear camera module. This allows users to preview selfies using the main rear cameras, potentially improving framing and image quality for portraits and group shots.
The smartphone is expected to feature:

- Primary sensor: Sony IMX852
- 50MP front-facing camera
The rear design includes a horizontal, pill-shaped camera bar with a glass finish, drawing comparisons to the design language seen in Google Pixel 10.

Battery life appears to be a major focus for the device. The Realme 16 5G will reportedly pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, supported by 60W fast charging.
According to the company, the battery could last up to two days on a single charge, with claims of maintaining health for up to six years—something that could appeal to long-term users.

The smartphone is expected to feature a:

In terms of durability, the device is said to come with an IP69 rating, offering strong resistance against water and dust.
