Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt And Daughter Raha Cheer For Team India At T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Final

Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were among the high-profile spectators cheering for Team India during the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 against England on Thursday.

The couple was seen at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai along with their daughter Raha Kapoor. A heartwarming moment from the stands quickly went viral on social media, showing Raha clapping and cheering enthusiastically for the Indian team alongside her parents.

The wholesome clip won the internet, with fans sharing the video widely and praising the adorable family moment.

Celebrity Presence In The Stands

The star power at the stadium did not end there. Former India captains MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma were also spotted in the stands, watching India’s innings together and cheering for the India national cricket team.

The match itself turned into a batting spectacle as India posted a huge total against England cricket team.

Sanju Samson Powers India To Massive Total

Leading the charge was Sanju Samson, who smashed a stunning 89 off 42 balls, hammering seven sixes and eight fours. His aggressive innings helped India pile up an imposing 253 for seven in the second semi-final.

Samson dominated the English bowling attack, including fast bowler Jofra Archer, who had earlier troubled him during last year’s bilateral series.

India also received useful contributions from several middle-order batters:

  • Shivam Dube – 43 runs
  • Ishan Kishan – 39 runs
  • Hardik Pandya – 27 runs
  • Tilak Varma – 21 runs

Archer endured a tough outing, conceding 61 runs in four overs, while Tilak Varma added to England’s woes with three sixes in the 19th over.

In the final over, England captain turned to off-spinner Will Jacks, but Hardik Pandya smashed two sixes to finish strongly.

For England, Jacks (2/40) and Adil Rashid (2/41) were the only bowlers to pick up multiple wickets.

A High-Stakes Semi-Final Atmosphere

With celebrities in the stands, fans roaring inside the stadium, and India posting a towering total, the semi-final at Wankhede delivered a memorable night of cricket.

The viral moment of Ranbir, Alia and little Raha cheering for Team India added a heartwarming touch to the electrifying contest.
