Rajpal Yadav Claims ₹1200 Crore Projects In Pipeline After Bail In ₹9 Crore Loan Case

Mumbai:
Actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav has revealed that he has projects worth ₹1200 crore lined up over the next seven years, days after securing bail in the ongoing ₹9 crore loan case. Addressing the media at a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, the actor spoke candidly about his legal troubles, future work commitments, and the overwhelming public support he has received in recent weeks.

Rajpal was accompanied by his lawyer, Bhaskar Upadhyay, during the interaction. He stated that despite recent setbacks, his professional commitments remain strong and extensive.

₹1200 Crore Worth of Projects, 10 Films Confirmed

Speaking about the scale of his upcoming ventures, Rajpal shared that his long-term work slate includes branding and entertainment projects valued at approximately ₹1200 crore.

“Over the next seven years, I have branding projects valued at ₹1200 crore. I’ve secured four agreements, which don’t include films. Some of these projects are worth ₹200 crore, while others go up to ₹2000 crore. The income is a mix of fees and equity in the projects. I also have 10 films lined up,” he said.

The actor clarified that these figures include brand associations and equity-based collaborations in addition to film assignments. While he did not disclose specific project names, he indicated that multiple high-value agreements have already been formalised.

Gratitude for Public Support During Jail Term

Rajpal also addressed the support he received during his recent jail term, describing it as deeply emotional and humbling. He said people from across the country — including children — came forward to help him financially.

“In the past 20 days, I’ve received everything from kids’ piggy banks to ₹1 crore through social media, and much more. I’ll be issuing a statement to thank them, and there are 4-5 people I want to specifically mention. I also want to express my gratitude to those who wish to remain anonymous,” he said.

While acknowledging the “sympathy” and generosity shown by fans and well-wishers, Rajpal said he intends to return the financial help extended to him.

“I want to thank them for their sympathy, but I also want to ask them to send their bank details. I just need time from them, but I will pay them all back with respect. However, I can’t repay the debt of so many kids across the nation who stood with me,” he added.

Legal Relief From Delhi High Court

The development comes after the Delhi High Court granted interim suspension of Rajpal’s sentence in the cheque bounce case until March 18.

The bench of Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma directed the actor to furnish a personal bond of ₹1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount. The court also noted that ₹1.5 crore had already been deposited in the respondent’s bank account while granting relief.

The ₹9 crore loan case has been ongoing for several years and relates to financial transactions linked to film production.

Upcoming Films: Comedy Franchises and Big Releases

On the professional front, Rajpal continues to be one of Bollywood’s most recognisable comic actors, known for his performances in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Waqt, Phir Hera Pheri, Partner, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hungama and Chup Chup Ke.

He will next be seen in Bhooth Bangla, a comedy-horror directed by Priyadarshan. The film features Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It is slated for theatrical release on April 10.

Rajpal is also part of Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The ensemble cast includes Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, among others. The film is scheduled to release on June 26.

Looking Ahead

Despite his legal challenges, Rajpal Yadav struck an optimistic tone about the future, stating that the past decade has taught him valuable lessons about resilience, responsibility, and public trust.

With multiple films and high-value branding projects in the pipeline, the actor appears determined to rebuild both his career momentum and public image in the years ahead.
