Dhurandhar Team Snubs Hollywood Reporter India Award, Netizens Praise ‘Self-Respect’

The team behind Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar skipped the recent award function organized by The Hollywood Reporter India, where the film was honored for its box-office success. Last December, the film had received a negative review from critic Anupama Chopra, which went viral and drew widespread backlash from fans.

During the award ceremony, host Neha Dhupia highlighted the film’s achievements, noting that Dhurandhar had grossed over ₹1,200 crore globally and had completed 76 days in theatres. However, she pointed out that no member of the film’s team was present to accept the honor, joking that they might be busy with tax filings or working on Dhurandhar 2.

Netizens praised the team’s decision to skip the event, with many calling it a display of “self-respect at its peak.” Social media reactions highlighted that sometimes silence can be a stronger response than attending functions for validation from selective critics.

Dhurandhar 2 is slated for release on March 19, 2026, and fans are eagerly awaiting the trailer.
