Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Urges Youth to Lead India’s Growth At Manav Rachna University Convocation

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, while addressing the 27th Annual Convocation of Manav Rachna University on Saturday, emphasized that the 21st century is poised to belong to India, with the nation’s youth at the helm of innovation and progress.

Birla highlighted the immense potential of India’s young generation, describing them as the driving force behind the country’s growth story. He underlined that the energy, creativity, and transformative capabilities of the youth are essential for tackling the challenges of the modern era.

As India’s global influence continues to rise, Birla expressed confidence that the country is on the path to greatness, largely due to the contributions of its younger population in fields such as technology and innovation. He noted that Indians are leading groundbreaking initiatives across the globe, asserting that the youth of India are crucial to this innovation revolution.

Drawing attention to India’s rich heritage in knowledge and culture, Birla referenced the timeless philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), which he believes remains a guiding principle for India’s leadership in various sectors, including technology and professions like Chartered Accountancy.

Birla also highlighted the significance of India’s democratic values in the nation’s progress, emphasizing that open dialogue and discussion are central to its growth. As India celebrates the 75th year of its Constitution, Birla reaffirmed the country’s commitment to its constitutional principles, which he believes have been key to India’s success.

In a motivational speech, Birla drew inspiration from former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a figure who rose from humble beginnings to become a symbol of educational excellence, technological innovation, and leadership. He urged the graduating students to embody Kalam’s perseverance and determination, striving to make a positive impact on the world.

Birla also congratulated the graduates for their achievements, commending the university for not only imparting academic knowledge but also preparing students to face global challenges. He extended his gratitude to the faculty and staff of the university for their unwavering commitment to the students’ success, acknowledging that every contribution, no matter how small, played a part in the graduates’ accomplishments.

Encouraging the students to step into the world with confidence and conviction, Birla urged them to embrace their roles as agents of change and actively contribute to building a better future.
