Radha Yadav, wife of veteran actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the film fraternity for their overwhelming support. This comes just a day after the actor surrendered to Tihar jail authorities following the Delhi High Court’s rejection of his plea for more time to settle a long-standing cheque-bounce case.

Yadav, a beloved figure in Indian cinema known for his impeccable comic timing, currently faces a debt of nearly ₹9 crore stemming from a loan taken for his 2010 directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata.
The industry’s response has been a significant display of solidarity. Radha Yadav confirmed to PTI that many colleagues have reached out, stating, “Everybody has stood by him. The industry has been supportive, a big thank you to everyone who is coming out to help.” The actor’s longtime manager, Goldie Jain, further noted that the support transcends mere financial aid, with several high-profile stars and filmmakers promising to stand by the family during this crisis.
Reports indicate that superstars Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, along with Varun Dhawan and filmmaker David Dhawan, have been in contact to offer their assistance. While the exact nature of their help is still being finalized, their involvement highlights Yadav’s deep-rooted respect within Bollywood. Manager Goldie Jain emphasized that while these industry giants have called, the primary focus remains on the upcoming bail hearing, which could potentially see the actor released as early as February 12.
Actor Sonu Sood has taken a proactive and dignified approach to the situation by signing Rajpal Yadav for a new project and providing the signing amount as an upfront advance. Sood, who has become synonymous with humanitarian efforts, urged others in the industry to follow suit, framing the help as a matter of professional dignity rather than charity. “A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity,” Sood remarked, reinforcing the bond within the cinematic community as they await the court’s next move.
