Man Reunites with Family After 30 Years Following Abduction And Bonded Labour Ordeal

In an extraordinary turn of events, Bhim Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, has reunited with his family three decades after being abducted and forced into bonded labor in Rajasthan.

A Painful Past

Bhim Singh recounted being kidnapped as a child while returning from school with his sister. He was taken to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and forced to work as a bonded laborer, herding sheep and goats in a village.

“When I was returning from school with my sister, some people kidnapped us and took us to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. I used to rear sheep and goats in the village. They tied me to a tree, gave me food only once a day, and often beat me,” Singh told media.

Years of hardship followed, but his ordeal came to an end when a kind individual noticed his plight and helped him escape to Ghaziabad.

The Emotional Reunion

Bhim Singh approached the Sahibabad police station in Ghaziabad, where he shared his traumatic story. Initially unable to recall his address, the police formed a team to assist him.

ACP Sahibabad, Rajneesh Kumar Upadhyay, explained their strategy:
“After listening to his ordeal, we circulated his details on social media. Many families contacted us, and one of them, Tula Ram’s family, claimed a connection. When Bhim Singh met them, he immediately recognized his family members.”

This recognition led to a heartfelt reunion, ending decades of separation.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities confirmed that further investigation is underway to uncover details of Singh’s abduction and the individuals responsible for his exploitation
