Mumbai:
Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming romantic drama Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has successfully cleared the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A 16+ certificate, paving the way for its theatrical release later this year.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the certification was granted on December 15 after the makers implemented a few changes suggested by the CBFC’s Examining Committee.
CBFC-Mandated Edits
The committee recommended three specific modifications before approving the film:
- A sexually suggestive sequence in the first half was shortened, resulting in a 15-second cut
- Certain obscene words in dialogues were muted or removed, including from subtitles
- Abbreviated obscene expressions appearing in a scene in the second half were also deleted
After these edits were made, the film received its censor clearance. As per the certificate, the final runtime of the movie is 145 minutes and 41 seconds.
