The family of veteran actor Sanjay Khan is mourning the loss of his wife, celebrated model, actor, and interior designer, Zarine Khan, who passed away on November 7 at the age of 81 due due to age-related ailments at her Mumbai residence. Her daughters, Sussanne Khan and Farah Khan Ali, have since shared poignant and emotional tributes on social media, remembering their mother as the guiding light of their lives.
Sussanne Khan’s Emotional Post
On Saturday, interior designer Sussanne Khan took to Instagram to share a throwback video that captured a tender moment of her sitting in her mother’s lap and embracing her. In the video, Sussanne is heard saying, “I am my mother’s soul twin. All I am today is because of this amazing woman. She is my god, my mother and my life.”
Accompanying the video was a deeply moving note:
“My Bestestttttt Friend, My God, My Life… Our Beautiful Mummy.. you are always going to be our Guiding Light… You taught us all to live it our own way… with the epitome of Grace and Love… May we all be even half as much light as amazing as you were.. in our lives will be happy…. Farah Khan Ali Remembers Her ‘Soul Mate’
Farah Khan Ali also shared a heartfelt tribute, posting a video of her mother singing the iconic song Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo. In her message, she hailed Zarine Khan as her “soul mate” and a woman who touched many lives.

Funeral and Family Support
Zarine Khan is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and their four children: Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Simone Arora, and Farah Khan Ali.
Her last rites were performed according to Hindu traditions by her son, Zayed, and husband, Sanjay. In a deeply emotional moment, her daughters were also seen carrying her body for the funeral. The siblings were seen breaking down and embracing each other as they bid their mother a final farewell.
The Khan residence saw a stream of prominent Bollywood celebrities offering their condolences, including Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Shabana Azmi, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Bobby Deol. Furthermore, close friends of Zarine Khan, Hema Malini and Saira Banu, shared their emotional tributes on social media. Ex-son-in-law Hrithik Roshan was also present, standing by Sussanne during this time of grief and attending the funeral.
