Priyanka Chopra Jonas, a famous person all over the world, recently celebrated Diwali in London with her family and friends. The actor talked openly with British Vogue about what the holiday means to her and how she maintains her Indian traditions alive even if she lives in another country.
“Diwali is a time for friends, family, food, and laughter to come together. Also, the joy of hope, since this holiday is about good winning over evil. Priyanka said with warmth, “In a world where everything is a little strange and chaotic, I feel it gives me a lot of comfort.”

Priyanka gave an intriguing answer when asked which of her movies she would recommend to someone who is new to Bollywood: her husband Nick Jonas already has a preference.
I only know this one because my spouse, who hasn’t seen many Bollywood movies, told me to watch it. Dil Dhadakne Do is the name of the movie, and most of my friends who haven’t watched Bollywood movies enjoy it. “I think that’s a good one,” she responded with a smile.
Dil Dhadakne Do, a 2015 ensemble drama directed by Zoya Akhtar, starring Priyanka along with Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Anushka Sharma, and Farhan Akhtar. Fans still love movie for its realistic family relationships and travel-filled plot.
Keeping Desi Traditions Alive in Other Countries
Priyanka also talked about how she celebrates Diwali and shares Indian culture with her friends from other countries.
We do pujas in my house, especially on Diwali, because I have a really nice mandir (temple). She remarked, “A lot of my non-Desi friends come to those pujas with me.”
She added a personal touch by saying that she often gives her friends Indian clothes and handmade sweets.
“I give a lot of Indian clothes to my friends as gifts.” She chuckled and said, “Achar (pickle) is something I just showed a lot of my friends.”
