MUMBAI — South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal has become the latest target of a death hoax, forcing her to personally address and dismiss the baseless rumors circulating online. False reports had spread rapidly across social media platforms, claiming the actress had lost her life in a tragic road accident.
On Monday, the actress took to her official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts to set the record straight and reassure her worried fans. She firmly stated that the reports were “completely untrue” and urged her followers not to believe or share such “unfounded speculation.”

In her post, she wrote, “I’ve come across some baseless news claiming I was in an accident (and no longer around!) and honestly, it’s quite amusing because it’s absolutely untrue. By the grace of God, I want to assure you all that I am perfectly fine, safe, and doing very well. I kindly request you not to believe or circulate such false news. Let’s focus our energies on positivity and truth instead.”
The rumors initially gained traction after a news outlet attempted to reach out to her for a statement. She later clarified that she was unable to take the call at the time as she was busy.
Maldives Getaway & Upcoming Projects
The death hoax emerged just days after the actress was seen enjoying a vacation in the Maldives with her husband, Gautam Kitchlu. She shared a series of stunning photos from the trip on Instagram, along with a heartfelt caption about her love for the island nation.
On the professional front, Kajal Aggarwal was last seen in Vishnu Manchu’s mythological drama Kannappa and the Hindi action film Sikandar, where she shared the screen with Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. She has an exciting lineup of projects ahead, including the much-awaited Indian 3, directed by Shankar, and a rumored role in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious two-part epic Ramayana. If confirmed, she would portray Mandodari, the wife of Ravana, played by Yash. The film will also star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
