Firecracker Factory Explosion Claims 7 Lives in Lucknow, Rescue Efforts Underway

At least two people died and many others were trapped at a firecracker factory in Lucknow on Sunday when a big explosion happened. The blast happened in a residence near to the factory. It was so powerful that it brought down the walls of the house.

There are a lot of fire vehicles, ambulances, and police cars from the area at the rescue site. Early reports suggested that as many as seven people may have died, including the factory owner Alam, his wife, and two boys. But Anindya Vikaram Singh, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), later told PTI that the official death toll is now two.

The officer said, “Firefighters, ambulances, and local police are all working together to save people.”

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has heard about the awful thing that happened. He has conveyed his condolences to the families of the dead and instructed officials to speed up relief efforts and make sure that the injured get the best medical care possible. People are trying to figure out what caused the blast.
