Former Village Head And Nephew Arrested For Grisly Murder In Jhansi

Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh – Police in Jhansi have arrested Mahewa Sanjay Patel (41), a former village chief, and his nephew, Sandeep Patel (25), in connection with the horrible murder of Rachna Yadav, a 35-year-old lady. According to authorities, the accused planned to kill Yadav after she started asking for marriage and had been stealing a lot of money from him. Police have offered a reward of ₹25,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a third accomplice, Pradeep, also known as Deepak Ahirwar.

BBGTS Murthy, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), said that Yadav was killed by strangulation in a car on the night of August 9. Then, an axe was used to cut up her body. The suspect put her arms and torso in a well in Kishorpura hamlet and her head and legs in the Raivan river, which is close by. On August 13 and 17, the body pieces were found.

Police had put together various teams to solve the “blind murder.” The case took a turn when they found out that Rachna Yadav had been absent for several days. Their search brought them to Sanjay Patel, who had been dating Yadav for two years.

Sanjay Patel and his nephew were caught at the Lakheri dam and sent to jail. The police are still looking for the third suspect, Pradeep Ahirwar, so they can learn more about the crime and bring all of the criminals to jail. The murder has shocked the local community and shown how far the suspects went to hide their crime.
