Kangana Ranaut, an actress and politician, has talked about her difficult career in Bollywood again. In an interview with Hauterrfly, she said that she had a lot of difficulties since she wouldn’t put up with the “rude” behavior of many of her male co-stars. Ranaut, who has been a prominent critic of the business for a long time, said she wasn’t talking about sexual harassment but about bad behavior in general.
Ranaut said, “I haven’t worked with so many heroes.” “My biggest worry was that these heroes were very rude.” She went into more detail about the kinds of behavior she meant, including male performers “coming late, acting badly, putting the heroine down, sidelining them, and giving them a small van.”
Ranaut said that because she wouldn’t accept such kind of behavior, she got into a lot of difficulties, including having lawsuits brought against her. She said that “most girls are okay with this,” but that her refusal to go along with it made others doubt her “pride.”
The movie Gangster, which came out in 2006, was Kangana Ranaut’s first Bollywood movie. She went on to act in movies including Woh Lamhe (2006) and Life In a Metro (2007) before earning her first National Film Award for Best Supporting Female Actor for Fashion in 2008. She became even more well-known with popular movies like Queen (2014) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). The most recent movie she made was Emergency, which she also directed, co-produced, and wrote.
