47 Terrorists Killed By Pakistan Forces Near Afghan Border In Balochistan Clash

In a series of anti-infiltration operations in Balochistan province, which is close to the border with Afghanistan, Pakistan’s security forces have killed at least 47 terrorists. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which is the military’s media branch, said on Saturday that the operations took place in the Sambaza area of Zhob province over the last two days.

The ISPR says that the first operation, which was called a “sanitisation operation,” took place on the night of August 7-8 and killed 33 terrorists. On the night of August 8–9, another operation in the areas around Sambaza, along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, killed 14 more terrorists. The dead militants had a lot of guns, bullets, and explosives that the security forces found.

There have been a lot more terrorist strikes in Pakistan lately, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan areas. Since the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ended its truce with the Pakistani government in November 2022, violence has gone rising. The TTP is a different group from the Afghan Taliban, but they are allies. The TTP has become more powerful since the Afghan Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021, and many of its commanders and members have found safety there.

The Pakistani government and military leaders have praised the security forces for their successful operations. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised them for stopping an attempt to get into the country and “crushing their evil plans.” Pakistan is serious about fighting terrorism and protecting its borders, as seen by the continuing operations.
