“Kingdom” Box Office Day 3: Vijay Deverakonda’s Spy Thriller Crosses ₹30 Crore Mark In India

HYDERABAD, INDIA — “Kingdom,” Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda’s next spy-action film, came out in theaters on July 31 after several delays. It has now been in theaters for three days. The movie got good reviews at first for Deverakonda’s performance and had a solid opening, but its box office numbers have been mixed since then.

Industry tracker Sacnilk says that “Kingdom” had a good launch, but its second day saw a big decline. However, it was very stable on its first Saturday.

“Kingdom” Made ₹18 Crore at the Indian Box Office on Day 1 (Thursday, July 31)

Day 2 (Friday, August 1): ₹7.5 crore, which is 58.33% less than Day 1

Day 3 (Saturday, August 2): ₹4.78 crore (as of 8 PM, these are early estimates; the final numbers may go up a little)

Total India Net Collection (3 Days): ₹30.28 crore

The movie’s earnings on Day 3 show that they have dropped further more since Friday. “Kingdom” is now getting closer to beating the ₹41 crore that “Liger,” Vijay Deverakonda’s first Bollywood movie, made in India.

Rates of occupancy and worldwide collection

“Kingdom” had a great opening day around the world, making ₹39 crore on July 31. This is Vijay Deverakonda’s best worldwide opening ever. It beat the first-day collections of “Liger” (₹33.12 crore worldwide) and “Kushi” (₹25.85 crore worldwide), as well as the lifetime collections of “Dear Comrade” (₹37 crore worldwide) and “The Family Star” (₹30.65 crore worldwide). The total gross for the first two days around the world was ₹53 crore.

“Kingdom” had a Telugu occupancy of 41.54% on its third day, which was Saturday. Breaking this down by the times of the shows:

31.25% of the shows are in the morning.

46.31% of the shows are in the afternoon.

Shows at night: 47.06%

Night programs: We’re still waiting for statistics, but early reports say 0 percent, which means that data gathering happened before late programs ended.

Hyderabad did quite well in the region, with an average occupancy of 46% and a high of 54% in afternoon shows. Chennai did well too, with an overall score of 51%. But places like Vijayawada (24.5%) and Nizamabad (20%) had lower occupancy rates.

On Day 3 (Saturday), the overall occupancy for Tamil shows was 18.03%. The morning shows had 12.74% and the afternoon shows had 23.31%.

About “Kingdom” and the Other Shows

“Kingdom,” directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is about Suri, a quiet and devoted police officer who becomes a spy to carry out a secret mission in Sri Lanka. The goal is to find and save his estranged brother Siva (played by Satyadev), who is now the head of a smuggling ring. Bhagyashri Borse plays the main female role. The movie ends on a cliffhanger, which means there will be a sequel, as producer Nag Vamsi has previously said.

Many people have liked Vijay Deverakonda’s performance, however some have been disappointed with the second part of the movie’s script. “Kingdom” is presently up against Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” at the box office. “Kingdom” is one of the more expensive Telugu movies to come out in a while, with a reported budget of ₹130 crore.
