NEW DELHI, India | July 31, 2025 – The illustrious India Couture Week (ICW) 2025 witnessed a memorable debut on Wednesday night as veteran fashion designer JJ Valaya introduced star kids Ibrahim Ali Khan and Rasha Thadani to the prestigious world of Indian haute couture. The duo, making their first appearance at ICW, captivated attendees as they closed Valaya’s grand finale show as showstoppers.
Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, and Rasha Thadani, daughter of acclaimed actress Raveena Tandon, commanded the runway in opulent ensembles that showcased JJ Valaya’s signature blend of traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern fashion sensibilities. Valaya, a pioneering force in India’s fashion scene since 1992, continued to cement his legacy with a collection that exuded regal elegance.
Rasha Thadani strutted down the ramp in a majestic lehenga that perfectly encapsulated the grandeur of Valaya’s design. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali Khan garnered significant attention in a rich velvet sherwani, expertly paired with contemporary pathani-style bottoms, presenting a fresh take on classic menswear.
Following their impressive runway walk, Rasha Thadani briefly spoke with the media, expressing her sheer delight at becoming JJ Valaya’s muse for the night. “2025 has been a year of many firsts for me,” she remarked. “Bachpan se I have watched my mom wearing JJ Valaya. I have his iconic prints… and now I feel so grateful to be able to be here and walk my first ramp walk at ICW wearing his design.”
For JJ Valaya, the moment was particularly poignant, as he reflected on his decades-long professional relationship with Rasha’s mother, Raveena Tandon. “I’ve been working with her mother (Raveena) all the time. And now I’m working with her. So for me, it’s a double thing. It’s really special for me to work with another generation after I’ve worked with the earlier generation equally well,” the celebrated couturier shared, clearly moved by the generational connection.
Raveena Tandon, known for her active presence on social media, quickly discovered a clip from the grand finale show featuring JJ Valaya discussing his bond with her and his experience of collaborating with Rasha. Sharing the video on her Instagram, Raveena affectionately wrote, “JJ Valaya, I love you, Nobody like you!”
The Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 grand finale, presented in association with Reliance Brands and an initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), also saw other prominent personalities grace the runway. Actor couple Rahul Dev and Mugdha Godse also made an appearance, walking hand-in-hand and adding to the star-studded conclusion of the prestigious fashion event.
