Anupam Kher Honored To Meet Indian Army’s Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, Presents Her With New Book ‘Different But No Less’

Mumbai, Maharashtra—July 27, 2025— Anupam Kher, a famous actor, recently said how honored and happy he was to meet Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army. Colonel Qureshi, who became well-known for talking to the media during the important “Operation Sindoor,” received Kher’s newest self-help book, “Different But No Less.”

Anupam Kher posted a picture of himself with Colonel Sofiya Qureshi on Instagram with a heartwarming message. “OPERATION SINDOOR: I was very happy and very honored to meet Col. #sofiyaqureshi recently and give her my fourth #SelfHelp book, #DifferentButNoLess! Kher wrote. He praised her even more by saying, “She is the epitome of the grace, valor, dignity, and bravery of the #IndianArmy.” Thank you, Col. Qureshi, for being so kind and grateful! Jai Hind! #Proud

In June, Kher made the official announcement of his fourth book, “Different But No Less.” The actor, who has had a lot of success both on and off screen, broke the news in an Instagram video. He called the book “very special.” The book is based on Kher’s own life and is meant to inspire readers. He has written “The Best Thing About You Is You,” “Lessons Life Taught Me Unknowingly,” and “Your Best Day Is Today.”

Kher said in the video that “Different But No Less” talks about the problems he had while producing his new movie, “Tanvi The Great.” He went into further detail regarding the book’s main point: “This book is not about storms.” It’s about sailing through them. It’s about not letting anyone else get hurt because of your own problems. He talked a lot about resilience and inner strength, saying, “It’s about putting your faith in yourself to the test.” It’s about having faith and hope. It’s about making your way through the mess. It’s about following the best GPS God has given us, which is our heart.

The most recent movie directed by Anupam Kher, “Tanvi The Great,” just came out in theaters. The movie is about the Indian Army and autism. It tells the touching story of a little girl named Tanvi (Shubhangi Dutt) who lives with her mother and grandfather (Anupam Kher). Tanvi wants to join the armed forces because of her father, who died. Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Karan Tacker, Arvind Swami, Nasser, and British actor Iain Glen are all in the movie.

Anupam Kher Studios and NFDC worked together to make “Tanvi The Great,” which has been praised around the world at film festivals like Cannes, New York, London, and Houston. At special previews at well-known Indian military schools including the National Defence Academy and the Southern Command in Pune, the film got standing ovations, showing how much it resonated with the armed services community.
