Goa, India- Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju, a well-known former Union Minister, took the oath of office as the 22nd Governor of Goa. The serious ceremony, which was attended by many important authorities and dignitaries, marked a new chapter in the leadership of the coastal state.
Justice Alok Aradhe, the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, gave the oath of office. This showed that the highest legal authority was in charge of the transition of power.
Governor Raju is happy and committed to the people of Goa.
Governor Gajapati Raju told reporters right after he was sworn in that he was excited about his new job and dedicated to the people of Goa. He said, “I am happy to be in Goa and happy to swear by the constitution of India to serve the people of the country, but especially the people of Goa.” This showed that he was especially focused on the people of Goa.
He said, “We all work as a team,” acknowledging the need for cooperation in government. I’m very happy. I don’t speak the local language, but this is my first job at this state office. He made it clear that he wanted to work together, even though they didn’t speak the same language.
Governor Raju ended his short speech with a strong message of unity: “I am looking forward to working with you.” We want everyone to work together, and when we do, we are the best in the world.
Dignitaries during the Swearing-In Ceremony
Many politicians and civil servants attended the oath ceremony, which was a big deal. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his council of ministers, as well as members of Parliament from the state and several Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), were there.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation K Rammohan Naidu and Union Minister of State Shripad Naik were among the important visitors from the Union government. There were also important people from Gajapati Raju’s native state of Andhra Pradesh at the ceremony. They included Chintakayala Ayyannapatradu, the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and Gummidi Sandhya Rani, the Minister for Women and Child Welfare. Sadanand Shet Tanawade, a member of the Rajya Sabha, and other political leaders were also there.
Chief Minister Sawant Welcomes New Governor Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant gave Governor Gajapati Raju a warm welcome and talked about how much experience he had in public service. “I welcome him on behalf of the Goa government and the people of Goa.” He has a lot of expertise running things and making decisions. I will like working with him as a boss. Sawant, the Chief Minister, said, “He will be useful for us,” which shows that the state’s government and new governor would work together.
The Governor’s office will benefit from Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju’s many years of experience. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first term, he was the Union Minister for Civil Aviation. He started his political career in 1978 when he was elected as an MLA for the Vizianagaram constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He eventually became a cabinet member in the state administration. His extensive experience in both state and national politics should help him do a good job in his new constitutional post in Goa.
