Washington, DC [US], July 18: Actor Chris Hemsworth is back with a brand-new season of his acclaimed National Geographic series, now titled ‘Limitless: Live Better Now’. The three-part docuseries will premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on August 15, followed by a televised debut on National Geographic on August 25.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the series follows Hemsworth’s continued exploration of how to live longer and healthier. In this season, he pushes himself through even more intense physical and mental challenges across the globe — including scaling a 600-foot frozen wall in the Swiss Alps, training with South Korean Special Forces, and learning to play drums from scratch for a surprise stage performance with Ed Sheeran.
One of the show’s most talked-about moments was filmed in Bucharest, Romania, where Hemsworth joined Sheeran live on stage in August 2024 to play drums for “Thinking Out Loud” in front of 70,000 fans during the singer’s +-=/x tour.
“Making this series has been a life-changing journey,” said Hemsworth. “I’ve discovered so much about my own health, resilience, and what it really means to live well. I hope this next chapter inspires audiences to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges, because the impact it’s had on my life has been truly profound.”
Filmed over two years in six countries, the series combines Hemsworth’s personal journey with insights from scientists, doctors, MMA fighters, and wellness experts as he tackles aging, fear, stress, and the limits of human performance.
The series is executive produced by Tom Watt-Smith, Peter Loving, Arif Nurmohamed, Jane Root (Nutopia); Darren Aronofsky, Ari Handel (Protozoa); and Chris Hemsworth, Ben Grayson, Brandon Hill (Wild State). Bengt Anderson and Simon Raikes serve as executive producers for National Geographic.
