Michelle Monaghan Joins Netflix Comedy ‘Little Brother’ with John Cena and Eric Andre

Los Angeles [US], July 17: Actress Michelle Monaghan has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix comedy “Little Brother”, starring John Cena and Eric Andre, according to Deadline.

Directed by Matt Spicer, best known for his acclaimed indie film Ingrid Goes West, Little Brother follows the story of a high-profile real estate agent whose carefully curated life is disrupted when his quirky younger brother suddenly shows up.

While Monaghan’s exact role hasn’t been officially confirmed, Deadline sources report that she will play Cena’s character’s wife.

This marks another major project for Monaghan following her standout appearance in HBO’s The White Lotus. Her growing list of upcoming roles includes the second season of Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey and the Netflix thriller The Whisper Man, where she stars alongside Robert De Niro. That film is based on Alex North’s bestselling novel and centers on a widowed crime writer seeking help from his estranged father after his son is abducted.

Monaghan is also set to return for the sequel to The Family Plan alongside Mark Wahlberg.

Little Brother also stars Chris Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, and Ben Ahlers. The script is penned by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, with David Bernad producing through Middle Child Pictures and Ruben Fleischer also on board as a producer.
