Washington, DC [US], July 14: TV personality and singer Kelly Osbourne has firmly denied online rumours that her father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, is dying, calling out the fake claims as both misleading and hurtful.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Kelly addressed a circulating video falsely portraying Ozzy with an AI-generated voice and stating lines like, “I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die.” She clarified that the video was fake and condemned those spreading such misinformation.
“What is wrong with you people? Why would you spend your time making a video like this?” she questioned.
“Yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying. What is wrong with you?”
The former Fashion Police co-host also dismissed revived claims that her parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, had a suicide pact, which Sharon once mentioned in 2007. Kelly explained that her mother’s comment was made for attention at the time and reiterated, “My dad’s not dying. Stop.”
Ozzy’s Health Status
- Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020.
- He has endured multiple surgeries, including for a spinal injury sustained in 2019.
- In a 2023 interview, he acknowledged having “at best 10 years left” but remained active until recently.
Ozzy Osbourne, now 75, gave his final performance with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5 — the same day Kelly got engaged to Slipknot’s Sid Wilson.
