Bengaluru (Karnataka), July 10: Hockey India has unveiled a 33-member core probable squad for the upcoming Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp, set to be held at the SAI Centre, Bengaluru, from July 14 to August 7.
This training camp is crucial as India preps for two major international events—the Australia tour and the Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir, Bihar, scheduled for August 29 to September 7. The Asia Cup winner secures a direct berth to the 2026 FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup.
🏑 Time to Rebuild After Pro League Setback
India had a disappointing run in the FIH Pro League 2024/25, managing just one win in eight matches in Europe. Despite this, Head Coach Craig Fulton remains optimistic.
“We competed well but couldn’t close out games. That’s where we’ll focus now. Our goal is to keep improving our ‘defend to counter to win’ strategy and gear up for Asia Cup,” Fulton said.
