Over 41,000 Damage Claims Filed in Israel Amid Ongoing Conflict, Says Tax Authority

Tel Aviv [Israel], June 26: In response to widespread damage from the ongoing conflict, Israel’s Tax Authority has reported receiving 41,651 compensation claims related to property and infrastructure damage. The claims are being processed by the Compensation Fund – Property Tax, in coordination with engineers, appraisers, and local authorities.

The breakdown of claims is as follows:

  • 32,975 for damage to buildings
  • 4,119 for damage to vehicles
  • 4,456 for damage to contents and equipment

Authorities estimate that thousands more buildings have been damaged but have not yet been formally reported.

Claims by metropolitan center:

  • Tel Aviv: 26,084
  • Ashkelon: 12,364
  • Acre: 2,750
  • Tiberias: 226
  • Central Areas: 114
  • Jerusalem: 104
  • Kiryat Shmona: 9

Officials continue to provide on-ground support and initial aid to affected citizens as part of a nationwide damage assessment and relief effort.
