Agastya Nanda To Make Big-Screen Debut With War Drama ‘Ikkis’, Based On Param Vir Chakra Awardee Arun Khetarpal

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 25: Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, is all set to make his theatrical debut with the upcoming war-drama Ikkis, alongside veteran actors Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. The makers unveiled the film’s teaser and announced its release date on Saturday.

Produced by Maddock Films—known for successful hits like Stree, Bala, and Stree 2Ikkis is based on the inspiring real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, awarded posthumously for his bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The one-minute teaser features a poignant moment—a telegram from the 1971 Battle of Basantar—informing of Arun Khetarpal’s martyrdom during the war. The film aims to pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of a true national hero.

The movie is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, known for thrillers like Andhadhun and Badlapur.

Maddock Films shared the teaser on Instagram, writing:

Ikkis is scheduled to release in theatres globally on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.

Agastya Nanda made his digital debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which premiered on Netflix. The film followed the lives of Archie and his friends in the fictional town of Riverdale, exploring themes of love, friendship, and rebellion. He starred alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda.
