Mumbai (Maharashtra), May 1: Bollywood singer Himesh Reshammiya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for fostering creativity and innovation while speaking at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, inaugurated on Thursday at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
Expressing his admiration, Reshammiya said, “Our Prime Minister has a fantastic vision. I am highly honoured to be here. This is just the beginning. All of us are blessed to have such a huge platform.” He described the summit as a milestone moment for India’s creative landscape.
Israeli actor Aki Avni also applauded the summit, describing it as a major win for India’s entertainment sector. “This is a wonderful victory for India as a top (entertainment) industry,” he told.
Prime Minister Modi, while addressing a packed auditorium of global creatives, innovators, and policymakers, emphasized India’s cultural strength and growing creative influence. “Today, artists, innovators, investors, and policy makers from more than 100 nations have gathered under one roof. We are laying the foundation for a global ecosystem of talent and creativity,” PM Modi stated. He added that WAVES is a global platform for every artist and creator.
Themed “Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries,” WAVES 2025 aims to position India as a global leader in the entertainment, media, and digital innovation industries. The summit features participation from international and Indian film stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Rajinikanth.
