Washington [US], April 10: Global music sensation Ed Sheeran has opened up about his long-standing friendship with fellow pop icon Taylor Swift, reflecting on their special bond that has endured over a decade in the music industry.
Speaking to Page Six, Sheeran revealed that although they don’t see each other often, their meetups are meaningful and long-lasting. “I see her when I see her,” he said, adding, “I probably see her, like, four times a year.” When they do catch up, it’s not just a quick hello—“we have proper sit-down, six-hour catch-ups,” he shared.
Sheeran fondly recalled the time they toured together during Swift’s Red era in 2013 and 2014. “I lived in Nashville, and she lived in Nashville,” he said. “And we used to fly to and from the gigs together and do all sorts of stuff.” At the time, the two were practically inseparable, spending nearly every day together for about six months.
Highlighting their shared experiences and levels of fame, Sheeran added, “She’s one of the only people that actually truly understands where I’m at,” emphasizing the depth of their connection. “We’re basically in the same sphere,” he noted.
Over the years, the pair have collaborated on several fan-favorite tracks, including End Game, Everything Has Changed, The Joker and The Queen, and Run, building not just musical chemistry but a lasting friendship admired by fans worldwide.
