Madhya Pradesh CM Announces Financial Assistance For Firecracker Factory Tragedy In Gujarat

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has expressed his solidarity with the victims of the firecracker factory explosion in Banaskantha, Gujarat, which claimed the lives of 18 workers. The explosion occurred in the Deesa area on Tuesday morning, trapping several workers inside the collapsed structure.

Key Announcements by CM Mohan Yadav:

🔹 Ex-Gratia of ₹2 Lakh – CM Yadav announced ₹2 lakh each for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 each for the injured workers.

🔹 Support for Victims’ Families – In his statement on X, CM Yadav expressed his government’s commitment to provide all possible help during this difficult time and assured that police and administration officials, including Cabinet Minister Nagar Singh Chauhan, have been dispatched to the site of the accident for relief operations.

“In this hour of crisis, our government stands with the families of the victims and is committed to provide all possible help,” CM Yadav said in his post.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel’s Response:

🔹 Financial AssistanceGujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also expressed deep grief over the incident and announced ₹4 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured.

🔹 Rescue and Relief Efforts – Patel assured that the state government is in constant touch with the administration to ensure proper treatment for the injured and to continue the rescue operations.

“The state government will provide ₹4 lakh to the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 to the injured,” Patel posted on X.

Ongoing Investigation and Rescue:

🔹 Police Action – A case has been registered under Section 304 (causing death by negligence) and five police teams have been formed to identify and take strict action against those responsible for the tragedy.

The firecracker blast and its aftermath continue to deeply affect the affected families and communities, and both Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh governments are working together to provide assistance and ensure justice for the victims.
