Gwyneth Paltrow, who is widely recognized for her role as Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has teased the possibility of returning to the franchise. While engaging with fans on social media, Paltrow hinted that she may reprise her role in future Marvel films, according to a report by Variety.
Paltrow’s character arc in the MCU began as a love interest to Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr.) but evolved into a superhero who played a crucial role in the defeat of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. She appeared in several Marvel films, including Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
Though Paltrow has since focused on her lifestyle brand Goop and admitted to forgetting some of her Marvel credits, her legacy as Pepper Potts remains cherished by Marvel fans.
When a fan asked during an Instagram Stories session if she would return to the MCU, Paltrow replied,
“The truth is, I don’t totally know. I think I might, but I’m not sure. Nothing is confirmed. That is the truth. That’s the inside scoop,” offering a glimpse of hope to fans eager for her return.
The actress was also asked if she spoke with Robert Downey Jr., who is set to return to the MCU in 2026 as Doctor Doom. In response, Paltrow, speaking in Spanish, said that while they didn’t talk every day, they spoke frequently, and she planned to call him on his 60th birthday, April 4.
In addition to teasing her MCU return, Paltrow addressed rumors of a supposed feud with Meghan Markle over the latter’s new lifestyle brand, As Ever. When asked about the so-called “beef” during the fan session, Paltrow responded,
“I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever. Do you understand this?” She then turned the camera toward Markle, who casually ate a piece of pie and shrugged her shoulders.
