Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Orders Shelter For Stray Cattle, Inspects Metro Pillars For Violations

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday directed authorities to find appropriate shelter for a stray cattle spotted on the Haiderpur flyover in Shalimar Bagh.

CM Gupta, who was on her way to the Delhi Assembly, noticed the stray cattle and immediately took action.

Besides addressing the cattle issue, she also inspected metro pillars in the area, expressing concern over damage caused by illegal posters and hoardings.

“Nobody has the right to damage government property. If we want a beautiful and clean Delhi, everyone’s support is required here. No one should spoil government property. Metro pillars are the beauty of Delhi, and we should not paste posters and hoardings here,” CM Gupta told media.

She personally removed posters from metro pillars and instructed officials to ensure all illegal hoardings were taken down.


CM Gupta Presents “Historic” ₹1 Lakh Crore Budget

On Tuesday, CM Rekha Gupta presented the Delhi Budget 2025-26, calling it a “historic” step toward making Delhi an investment and innovation-friendly city.

🔹 Total Budget: ₹1 lakh crore (31.58% increase from the previous year).
🔹 Education Sector: ₹19,291 crore (17% increase).
🔹 Transport Sector: 73% budget hike.
🔹 Housing & Urban Development: 9% budget increase.

“In the education sector, ₹16,396 crore was to be spent in 2024-2025, which we have increased to ₹19,291 crore in our Budget. We have increased the Budget for the transport sector by 73 per cent. The Budget for Housing and Urban Development has been increased by 9 per cent,” CM Gupta stated.

With a strong focus on education, transport, and urban development, the 2025-26 Budget aims to enhance the quality of life for Delhi residents and promote long-term economic growth.
