Washington [US]: Pop star Justin Bieber recently shared an emotional post revealing his struggles with negative emotions, feelings of self-doubt, and his journey toward letting go of hate.
In a heartfelt post, Bieber admitted, “I was always told when I was a kid not to hate… but it made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to have it, and so I didn’t tell anyone I’ve had it.”
He confessed that suppressing those feelings left him feeling overwhelmed.
“I have been drowning, feeling unsafe to acknowledge it,” he shared, adding that acknowledging hate is crucial in order to release it.
“I think we can only let hate go by first acknowledging it’s there,” Bieber continued. “How couldn’t we feel hate from all of the hurt we have experienced?”
This vulnerable message follows another recent Instagram Story where Bieber reflected on his self-doubt.
“People told me my whole life ‘Wow Justin, you deserve that,’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” he wrote.
He admitted that praise often made him feel like an imposter.
“Like I was a fraud… Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky, like, ‘Damn, if only they knew my thoughts.'”
In August, Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber welcomed their son, Jack Blues. Fans previously raised concerns about Bieber’s health after noticing changes in his appearance and behavior in February.
However, a statement from the couple’s team denied the rumors, emphasizing that speculation about Bieber’s well-being and alleged drug use was “exhausting and pitiful.” The statement further asserted that despite clear evidence to the contrary, negative narratives persist.
