Holi, also known as the Spring Festival, marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the harvest season. Rooted deeply in Hindu mythology, the festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The celebrations begin with Holika Dahan, where a bonfire is lit to signify the burning of Holika, a symbol of evil, followed by a special Puja to ward off evil spirits. The festival’s story also recalls the tale of Demon King Hiranyakashyapu, who attempted to kill his son Prahlad due to his devotion to Lord Vishnu, with the help of his sister Holika.
