Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 12: Movie enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate as the much-loved coming-of-age film Yaariyan is making its way back to the big screen. The 2014 film, which marked the Bollywood debut of actors Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh, will be re-released in theaters on March 21, 2025. The announcement was made by T-Series on their official Instagram account.
“The ultimate yaars’ reunion is here! Yaariyan is re-releasing in cinemas near you on 21st March ’25!” read the Instagram post, sparking excitement among fans of the film.
Directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, Yaariyan was first released on January 10, 2014, and became a huge hit among young audiences. The film featured a fresh ensemble cast, including Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, Nicole Faria, and Evelyn Sharma. Yaariyan earned praise for its storytelling, emotional depth, and its portrayal of friendship and youth.
Apart from its heartwarming story, the film became a sensation due to its chart-topping music, with songs like “Sunny Sunny,” “ABCD,” and “Baarish” still being popular among fans even a decade later.

In addition, the most recent re-release was Lootera, a 2013 period romance film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Set in the 1950s, Lootera starred Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha and became a beloved film known for its emotional depth and poetic storytelling.
