REVIEW: ‘Bad Newz’ A Full-On Entertainer With Humor, Drama And Heart

Review: Bad Newz
Director: Anand Tiwari
Star Cast: Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk, Neha Dhupia and Sheeba Chaddha
Rating: 4/5

“Bad Newz” delivers non-stop entertainment with plenty of laughs, witty one-liners, engaging drama, and strong emotions. This well-crafted film is a guaranteed box office success.

Director Anand Tiwari crafts a plot that may initially seem ludicrous, but smart and engaging screenwriting keeps you hooked throughout. Tiwari ensures that the comic moments and jokes land well, the writing stays focused without veering off track, and the conclusion is fitting.

Vicky Kaushal is outstanding, excelling in emotional sequences and portraying his character with finesse. “Bad Newz” is set to significantly expand his fan base. Triptii Dimri shines in her role, balancing light and emotional scenes beautifully while adding essential glamour to the film.

Ammy Virk is delightful, with perfect timing in comic sequences and credibility in his overall portrayal. However, Neha Dhupia and Sheeba Chaddha are underutilized, and their potential to enhance the film is somewhat missed due to their limited screen time.

“Bad Newz” features three chart-topping songs – “Tauba Tauba,” “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam,” and “Jaanam” – which greatly enhance the movie.

Are there any flaws? A few moments in the first half could have been sharper, and the narrative could have done without some characters.

Final verdict? “Bad Newz” is an all-out entertainer that wins you over.
