BJP MLAs Raise Key Issues In Delhi Legislative Assembly

New Delhi [India], February 27: During the ongoing Delhi Legislative Assembly proceedings, several BJP MLAs raised critical issues impacting their respective constituencies.

BJP MLA Anil Sharma highlighted the severe water and sewerage problems in RK Puram, emphasizing the dire situation in several villages within his constituency. He noted, “In RK Puram, wherever I went, the issues of water and sewerage have come to the forefront. There are several villages in the constituency where the situation is very dire. Sewage flows 24 hours a day.” Sharma urged the government to take immediate action to address the residents’ growing concerns.

Similarly, BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht from Mustafabad raised the issue of water scarcity, particularly the shortage of drinking water in his constituency. “I want to bring the problems of the Mustafabad constituency to your attention. In the constituency, people are deprived of drinking water. Despite having a water treatment plant, water is not being supplied,” Bisht explained. He further shared that the area once received pure Ganga water but now faced severe water issues, noting, “When I was the MLA earlier, we used to get pure Ganga water, but today the situation has worsened significantly.” Bisht urged the Water Minister to address the issue, stating that the water supply pipelines were damaged.

Om Prakash Sharma, BJP MLA from Vishwas Nagar, raised concerns about the installation of CCTV cameras across Delhi. He pointed out discrepancies in the payments made for cameras under the previous government’s initiative. “I have repeatedly raised the issue that under the first phase, the number of cameras that were supposed to be installed was significantly less, but the payment was made for the entire number of cameras. This is a major scam,” Sharma alleged. He also revealed that he had written to all concerned agencies and called for a thorough investigation into the matter.

These concerns raised by the BJP MLAs reflect pressing issues in the capital, including water shortages, sewage problems, and discrepancies in government contracts. The ongoing Assembly discussions are expected to address these concerns further.
