In a major counter-terrorism operation, Pakistan’s security forces killed four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists, referred to as Khwarij, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) took place in the Kaulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Earlier Operation in North Waziristan
On Thursday, Pakistan’s security forces suffered two casualties during another IBO in North Waziristan. Major Hamza Israr, 29, and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem, 26, were killed while confronting six TTP terrorists in the Mir Ali area. Despite the casualties, the security forces successfully eliminated the six terrorists, reaffirming their commitment to countering terrorism.

Ongoing Counter-Terrorism Operations
This recent success follows a January 24 operation in Balochistan’s Zhob district, where security forces neutralized six terrorists attempting to infiltrate from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The ISPR confirmed that the infiltrating Khwarij group was successfully thwarted, and a large cache of weapons and explosives was recovered.
Call for Border Management by Afghanistan
The ISPR also reiterated Pakistan’s demand for better border management from the Afghan government to prevent terrorists from using Afghan soil to launch attacks into Pakistan.
“We urge the Interim Afghan Government to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.” – ISPR
Continued Efforts Against TTP
Pakistan’s security forces are resolute in their mission to eliminate terrorist organizations like TTP and their affiliates, intensifying efforts across various regions, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
