Google Honors India’s 76th Republic Day With A Wildlife-Inspired Doodle

New Delhi [India], January 26: To mark India’s 76th Republic Day, Google unveiled a special doodle combining wildlife and Indian culture. Designed by Pune-based guest artist Rohan Dahotre, the doodle features a variety of animals alongside traditional Indian attire, showcasing the vibrant colors representing India’s diverse regions and rich cultural heritage.

Republic Day, celebrated on January 26, commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who served as the chairperson of the Constitution Drafting Committee, played a crucial role in shaping the Constitution that continues to guide India today.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his Republic Day greetings, saying, “Happy Republic Day. Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a republic. We honor the great women and men who crafted our Constitution and ensured that our journey is grounded in democracy, dignity, and unity. May this occasion strengthen our commitment to preserving the ideals of our Constitution and building a stronger, more prosperous India.”

Republic Day celebrations include a grand parade at Kartavya Path, where India showcases its military strength and cultural diversity. The parade features colorful floats, cultural performances from across the country, and impressive formations by various armed forces contingents. The celebrations conclude on January 29 with the Beating Retreat ceremony.
