Anil Kapoor Shares Heartfelt Throwback With Subhash Ghai On Director’s Birthday

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 24: On the occasion of Subhash Ghai’s birthday, actor Anil Kapoor shared a heartfelt tribute to the legendary director. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Kapoor posted two throwback pictures with Ghai, accompanied by a message celebrating their enduring bond and the wisdom they’ve shared over the years.

“Happy Birthday, Subhash Ghai Saab! Your wisdom and creativity continue to inspire everyone around you. I’m grateful for all the memories and lessons over the years. Wishing you health, happiness, and endless success always!” Kapoor wrote in his post.

Subhash Ghai is renowned for his iconic films such as Karz, Pardes, Khalnayak, Vishwanath, and Saudagar. A key figure in the Indian film industry since 1967, Ghai has made guest appearances in some of his films and remains an influential figure.

Anil Kapoor has had a long and successful collaboration with Ghai, starring in blockbusters like Ram Lakhan, Karma, Meri Jung, Taal, and Trimurti.

On the work front, Anil Kapoor recently announced his upcoming action thriller Subedaar, which he revealed on his 68th birthday in December 2024. The film’s first-look teaser, shared by Prime Video India, gave fans a glimpse of Kapoor’s rugged new character. In the teaser, Kapoor’s character, “Subedaar Arjun Maurya” (also referred to as “Chacha”), is seen locked in a dark room, preparing for a confrontation as he readies a gun in a tense standoff.

Subedaar also stars Radhika Madan as Shyama, the daughter of Kapoor’s character. Directed by Suresh Triveni (known for Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa), the film is produced by Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network (AKFCN). It is set to be an intense action-packed drama.
