New Delhi [India], January 23: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday, where he briefed the PM on various initiatives undertaken by the Goa government.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sawant shared photos from the meeting, stating, “Called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji in New Delhi. Briefed him on the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Goa and expressed my heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering support. Sought his invaluable guidance to further accelerate the state’s development and progress.”

This meeting with PM Modi follows Sawant’s engagements earlier this week, including a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister also met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss Goa’s demand for a larger share in tax devolution, a proposal aimed at boosting the state’s development.

In a separate engagement on Monday, Sawant reviewed several infrastructure projects at Government College Sankhali. Accompanied by Education Secretary Prasad Lolyekar, Director of Education Bhushan Sawaikar, and officials from various departments, Sawant directed the completion of works on the playground rooftop and reviewed ongoing projects at the Veerangana Hostel for girls, emphasizing improvements in student safety, campus security, and placement opportunities.

The Chief Minister’s proactive approach to infrastructure and development initiatives underscores his commitment to Goa’s progress across multiple sectors.
