Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], January 22: Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of three students from the Veda Patashala in Mantralayam, along with the vehicle driver, in a road accident near Sindhanur in Karnataka’s Raichur district on Wednesday. According to a statement, the vehicle they were traveling in overturned, leading to the fatalities.
Governor Nazeer extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and urged authorities to provide better medical treatment for those injured in the accident.
Additionally, Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Ramprasad Reddy expressed his shock and sadness over the incident involving the students from the Mantralayam Veda Pathashala. He conveyed his condolences to the affected families and instructed officials to ensure that the injured receive immediate and advanced medical care. Reddy also sought detailed information about the accident from the authorities.
In another tragic incident in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district, the death toll from a road accident in Arebile rose to 11 as one of the injured victims succumbed to their injuries while being treated. According to SF Kammar, Director of KMC Hospital, one patient was brought dead, while the remaining 11 injured individuals, who were vegetable sellers traveling to Kumta market, are out of danger but require continuous monitoring.
The victims were in a truck that toppled and fell into a 50-meter-deep valley. Police rushed to the scene and moved the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his condolences for the victims of both accidents. He assured that the families of the deceased would receive appropriate compensation from the state government, adding, “I pray for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace and extend my sympathies to the bereaved families.”
