Yogi Adityanath Commends ISRO Team As Two Satellites Dock Successfully

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 16: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) team for successfully completing the docking process of two satellites as part of the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) project.

Adityanath praised the achievement, noting that India has become the fourth nation to accomplish such a feat. “Congratulations to team ISRO on this historic achievement! India is now the 4th country to successfully achieve space docking, marking a significant leap in our space capabilities. The SpaDeX docking process was executed flawlessly, showcasing the dedication and expertise of the brilliant minds behind the mission. A proud moment for India! Jai Hind!” he posted on X.

Former ISRO scientist Mylswamy Annadurai also lauded the success, stating that the successful docking will be crucial for future missions like Chandrayaan-4. He added that this milestone would aid in the establishment of India’s space station and assist in debris removal.

V Narayanan, Secretary of the Department of Space (DOS), Chairman of the Space Commission, and Chairman of ISRO, also congratulated the team for their accomplishment. ISRO confirmed that the two satellites were successfully controlled as a single object after docking.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his congratulations on Thursday morning, calling the success of the SpaDeX project a significant step for future space endeavors. He emphasized that this achievement would lay the foundation for even more ambitious missions.

ISRO’s announcement revealed that India became the fourth country to successfully achieve space docking, with the process involving precise maneuvers from a 15-meter to a 3-meter hold point, culminating in the successful spacecraft capture.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh highlighted that the success of the docking process would pave the way for upcoming missions, including the Bharatiya Antriksha Station and Chandrayaan-4.
