Varun Dhawan Trains With Real-Life Heroes For ‘Border 2’

New Delhi [India], January 15: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is currently preparing for his role in Border 2, and he’s ensuring his preparation includes learning from real-life heroes.

On the occasion of the 77th Indian Army Day on January 15, Varun took to Instagram to salute the brave men and women in uniform. He shared pictures from the sets of Border 2, where he spent the day interacting with soldiers and learning from them.

“Honoring the real heroes of India this #ArmyDay. Proud to be with them. #Border2 #prep,” Varun captioned the post.

Earlier in the day, his Border 2 co-star, Sunny Deol, also paid tribute to the Indian Army. Deol shared several videos and images from his visit to interact with soldiers. One video captured Deol and the soldiers chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” while other photos showed him engaging with the troops, posing for pictures, and even arm wrestling with them. In the caption, Sunny wrote, “Then, Now, and Forever Saluting the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our heroes. Happy Indian Army Day! #HindustanZindabad #ArmyDay.”

Army Day honors the service and sacrifice of those who protect the nation, and this year’s celebrations highlighted India’s technological advancements and commitment to self-reliance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings to the Indian Army, praising their “indomitable courage and sacrifice.” He expressed pride in their professionalism, stating that the Indian Army has set high standards in handling challenges, both on the borders and within the country, and has earned a unique identity on the global stage.
