Pramod Tiwari Calls Atishi’s Crowdfunding Campaign ‘Drama’ Amid Delhi Polls

New Delhi [India], January 13: Congress MP Pramod Tiwari launched a sharp critique of Delhi CM and AAP leader Atishi’s crowdfunding campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, calling it “drama” and claiming it would not help her win the Kalkaji seat.

Tiwari accused Atishi and AAP of hypocrisy, saying that while they preach austerity, they end up living luxuriously. “They say they will travel in small cars and live modestly, but instead, they end up traveling in big cars and living in ‘Sheesh Mahal’. She is a follower of Arvind Kejriwal, so it’s no surprise she too indulges in drama. Regardless of what she does, she won’t win the Kalkaji seat,” Tiwari stated.

Atishi had launched the crowdfunding campaign on Sunday to raise Rs 40 lakh for her election campaign in the Kalkaji Assembly constituency. As of January 10, she had raised over Rs 15 lakh from around 278 donors.

Tiwari also expressed strong support for the INDIA alliance, emphasizing that it was formed to protect the Constitution and ensure the welfare of the poor. “The INDIA alliance is based on principles to safeguard the Constitution and ensure the poor receive their rights. Our efforts will continue until we oust the BJP from power,” he added.

Additionally, Tiwari criticized the inauguration of the Z-Morh Sonamarg tunnel by Prime Minister Modi, questioning when Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh would regain statehood. “They are trying to connect Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh through this tunnel, but when will statehood be restored?” he asked.
