Preity Zinta Expresses Heartbreak And Concern Over LA Wildfires

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 12 : Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has expressed her heartbreak over the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, while assuring her fans that her family is safe “as of now.”

Preity Zinta, who married LA-based financial analyst Gene Goodenough in 2016 and has been splitting her time between India and the US, took to social media to share her concern about the ongoing crisis. The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have caused widespread destruction, including evacuations and burned homes.

In a heartfelt post on X, Preity wrote, “I never thought I would live to see a day where fires would ravage neighborhoods around us in LA, friends and families either evacuated or put on high alert, ash descending from smoggy skies like snow, and fear and uncertainty about what will happen if the wind does not calm down with toddlers and grandparents with us. I’m heartbroken at the devastation around us and grateful to God that we are safe as of now.”

She also expressed her gratitude to the firefighters and emergency responders who are working tirelessly to combat the fires and save lives. Preity added, “My thoughts and prayers are with the people who are displaced and have lost everything in these fires. I hope the wind dies down soon, and the fires are contained. A big thank you to the fire department, firefighters, and everyone else helping to save lives and property. Stay safe, everyone.”

Several Hollywood celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, and others, have been affected by the wildfire, with many losing their homes. Pop star Britney Spears shared an update on Instagram after evacuating her home due to the wildfires, revealing that she had been driving for hours to find safety.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, whose neighborhood was also impacted by the fires, spoke on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about the destruction, urging the public to contribute to relief efforts.

Ricki Lake, who lost her home in the fires, posted an emotional message on Instagram, grieving the loss of the place where she married three years ago.

The fires have claimed the lives of at least 11 people in Southern California, according to officials.
