Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), January 12: Ayodhya commenced a three-day festival on Saturday to honor the first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple, a landmark moment for Hindus across the world. The celebration, coming days before the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, included rituals, prayers, and cultural events.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended their heartfelt greetings on the occasion.
PM Modi and CM Yogi Celebrate the Historic Occasion
“Best wishes to all countrymen on the first anniversary of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha. Built after centuries of sacrifice, this temple is a monumental heritage of our culture and spirituality,” PM Modi shared in a post on X.
CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of national unity, stating, “This celebration reminds us of the need to strengthen national integration. Division based on caste, region, or language only weakens our nation and faith. Let this occasion inspire us to build a stronger Bharat.”
Grand Rituals and Ceremonies
The anniversary celebrations began with an Agnihotra ritual, accompanied by mantras from Shukla Yajurveda. The day was marked by six lakh chants of ‘Ram Naam,’ recitations of the Ram Raksha Stotra, and the Hanuman Chalisa.
Yogi Adityanath also offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya, seeking blessings for the progress and welfare of the people. “I prayed for the welfare and progress of all at Shri Hanumangarhi,” he shared on X.
