Delhi Congress Releases Booklet Highlighting Alleged Failures Of AAP And BJP Governments

Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav, joined by senior party leader Ajay Maken and other members, on Wednesday released a booklet titled ‘Mauka Mauka Har Baar Dhokha,’ which outlines alleged failures of Arvind Kejriwal’s 11-year Delhi government and the BJP’s 10-year rule at the Centre.

Speaking at a press conference, Devendra Yadav said, “Today, we are releasing a booklet on the wrong deeds of the 11 years of Arvind Kejriwal’s government and 10 years of BJP’s government.”

Yadav alleged that residents of Delhi feel betrayed by both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), despite the promises made during their respective campaigns.

“For the last 11 years, the AAP has governed Delhi, and for the past 10 years, the BJP has been in power at the Centre. The citizens of Delhi elected both parties in hope, but after 11 years, they feel let down,” Yadav said.

He also compared the current governments with the Congress-led administration under Sheila Dikshit, highlighting accomplishments such as advancements in development, pollution control, women’s rights, pensions for the elderly, and providing ration cards and gas cylinders to the needy. “Those 15 years laid a strong foundation for making Delhi a world-class city,” he added.

This statement follows AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement on December 11, ruling out any alliance with Congress for the 2024 general elections.

The Congress party, which governed Delhi for 15 consecutive years, has struggled in recent assembly elections, failing to win a single seat in the last two polls.

With assembly elections expected in early 2025, AAP holds a strong position, having secured 67 out of 70 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020. The BJP slightly improved its performance in 2020, winning eight seats, while Congress failed to open its account for the second consecutive election.
