Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated a Booster Pumping Station in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, on Tuesday, aiming to provide 24/7 clean water to local residents.
After the event, Kejriwal, accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, visited a residence in Pandav Nagar’s DDA flats to personally check the water quality. Both leaders drank water directly from the tap.

“It was our dream to provide clean drinking water to every household in Delhi 24 hours a day, and today this big dream is being realised in Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency,” Kejriwal said.
He added, “I myself drank water from a tap. It was clean water.” - CM Atishi’s Comments:
Calling the initiative a “water revolution,” Atishi emphasized the long-term vision of the scheme.
In a social media post, she wrote:
“Water revolution has begun in Delhi! After 24×7 electricity, now the promise of 24×7 water is also being fulfilled… The day is not far when every Delhiite will get clean water 24×7.”

- Sanjeevani Yojana:
Kejriwal announced free medical treatment for senior citizens aged 60 and above, covering costs at both government and private hospitals. Registration for the scheme has started in the Jangpura constituency. - Mahila Samman Yojana:
The scheme offers a monthly allowance of Rs 2,100 to women in Delhi. Kejriwal revealed that approximately 2.5 lakh women registered within hours of its launch.
Looking Ahead to Elections:
Delhi is gearing up for its Assembly elections in early 2025. In the 2020 elections, AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, with the BJP securing eight.
